A FTSE250 Company Secretary writes...
“For our internally organised Board review process this year, rather than repeating what we have done in the recent past (a questionnaire based exercise co-ordinated by the Company Secretary) our Chair is wanting to have a “round table Board discussion” at a Board meeting in order to stimulate open debate about a couple of significant issues.
Does anyone know if any other company has adopted this approach for a ‘Board review’? Are there any pitfalls to be aware of – or that you can foresee, and how, in practical terms, should the exercise be managed and reported upon?”
