Board approval levels

Can you please share your experience of Board approval level thresholds?  For benchmarking purposes, we are interested in learning about other companies’ financial thresholds and also when Board approval is required due to the nature of the transaction.

    For a multinational organisation with a circa £45bn market capitalisation our authority levels are low, with Board approval limit at £30m.
    There is some flexibility around routine procurement contracts etc but essentially we think of £30m as the Board authority level.
