We are looking to appoint a third party to facilitate a number of risk management workshops across the Group to embed further existing management practices and also strengthen the reporting of “bottom up” risks to the Board. Would anyone be able to recommend a suitable firm and contact we could approach to undertake this work? We are looking at the Big Four, but are also very open to smaller and/or more niche providers.

If using one of the big four, I thought Deloitte were very good. I am sure there are others that would do a good job too.

If you are looking at the Big 4 I would recommend contacting Mike Wilson @ KPMG. He has a member of his team called Ruth Murray-Webster who previously ran her own consultancy. Ruth provides practical, down to earth advice, that is pragmatic & relevant to the business, and does it in a very “non-risk” language. If you did use KPMG I would be very specific about wanting Mike & Ruth on the job.

Try Gill Bolton. I attended a training session that she ran at the ICSA last week.

We have used PWC and Deloitte for this. PwC are excellent. Deloitte are good too, but PwC on balance, were just that bit more practical.

I have previously used Marsh Risk Consulting The focus was on BCP and DR planning but I know they do risk work as well. I was very happy with their work.
