Global insurance renewal data

9th March 2012 4 Comments

“A FTSE100 company with operations in over 100 countries worldwide has been using the Stars package provided by Marsh to collect its global insurance renewal data and wondered what insurance renewal data collection tools other large international companies use and how positive (or otherwise) their experience has been.”

We have in excess of 120 profit centres across the UK and S.Ireland. We have developed our own in-house Insurance Database which holds our claims information, renewal sums insured etc etc. It is web-based so we can ask our Franchise Accountants to complete the renewal questionnaires on line for their particualr businesses, they are entering the data straight into the database and have previous years to compare to if necessary. Full explanatory notes are provided to give guidance as to how to calculate the required figures.

We have been using the Effisoft RMIS system for the last couple of years. I think it is comparable to STARS – but I suspect with a little more flexibility. We have multiple units to service worldwide and the system has proved to be popular with users.
