NED moving to a CEO role

“We have a NED who becomes CEO on 4 February. He proposes to give his apologies for the Remco due this week, but could anyone think of any other challenges he might face as a NED the week before he runs with the hares?”

    First thoughts are that Board balance and position on Audit Committee and Nomination Committee will be a consideration if he/she is not to stay as a non-executive CEO.
