“To date we have used the web-based Survey Monkey facility on which to load our own internal form of Board evaluation questionnaire. However we would like to find another platform to which we could load our internal questionnaire which offers online access and a similar level of analysis and compilation – but with more flexibility to allow only partial completion of the evaluation questionnaire. Does anyone have any suggestions please?”
Do you already use a Board portal software like Diligent? These have built-in survey capabilities and we used them in my last role to great effect to carry out Board self-assessments.
Our board papers system is with Diligent and they offer an online questionnaire facility included in your subscription. It’s very easy to use, looks professional and directors find it convenient because it’s part of a system they already use. You can pay an extra in order for the system to analyse the responses and produce graphs and diagrams. Overall I think it works well provided you already have Diligent for your board papers.
Independent Audit have a questionnaire facility that comes with a bank of questions for the Board, Chair, each committee etc. I understand that you can use or own questions/ tailor their questions and it seems very flexible. You can send emails from the system to participants who then click on a link to access and complete the questionnaire. It is also very easy for the administrator to view the responses and download the graphs/charts for use in reports.
