A FTSE100 Company Secretary writes...
Our registrar has suggested we add some wording to our Notice of Meeting advising investors that they can use a service offered by Proxymity Ltd to appoint a proxy. Has anyone come across Proxymity Ltd before, and if so do you have any feedback?
We’ve added to our AGM Notice for 2022. Couldn’t see a reason not to as it provides another channel to enable voting and there was no cost for including it.
Not yet. Speak to Link who are pushing it as a disruptor to the market, providing an alternative voting channel to existing proxy agent platforms which provides real-time receipt of votes from institutional investors. It’s free and all companies need to do is include some wording in their AGM literature. Sounds like a no brainer so I intend to do so next year.
We included this in our 2021 AGM notice and I believe that some of our votes came through that way. No negative comments, I understand that Proxymity is gaining some traction.
