This is a timely question for us as we have been using New Bridge Street and have become increasingly dissatisfied with the service over recent months. We will be tendering this year and suspect we will be making a change

We previously used Deloitte, and undertook a tender process in 2014 and chose Kepler, who were at that date an independent remuneration consultancy firm. We were and are very pleased with the service provided, even after Kepler were acquired by Mercer in 2015. As part of the global group, Kepler have lost some of the “small business” feel (e.g. Mercer’s compliance department insist on a 8 page terms and conditions document, whereas Kepler made do with 2 pages) but the service is provided by the same consultants we appointed and the fees are the same.

We use Deloitte and we are pleased with the service. They are thorough and practical.

I have used Marcus Peaker at PwC in the past – he is thoughtful, responsive and capable of thinking outside the box.

We have tendered for this twice in the past decade, and seen the usual suspects. Both times we appointed PwC. Surprisingly, they offered the most competitive charge rates, we always see the same senior consultant who has developed a good working relationship with the Board, and they designed an incentive plan for us 5 years ago that seemed then slightly ahead of its time but is now absolutely spot on in terms of what investors and governance groups regard as appropriate. As an alternative, I have heard good things about Deloitte and their guidance materials are excellent.

We use FIT, who (from at least my perspective ) do a good job. Similar good experience with them a few years ago in a different role. Have worked with New Bridge Street in the past (who were also good), but I think they have now been swallowed up by Aon. My inclination would be to ensure that whoever you pick has good coverage of the small cap market relevant to you.

We use Hewitt New Bridge Street and have been extremely disappointed with the service they have provided sine the departure of a number of key players in mid-2016. Will be tendering the work this year (in line with a triennial review).

We are using PwC. Service / advice is good but not cheap.

I have used Deloitte at my current and previous company and have been pleased with the advice which is practical and tailored.

We have used Deloitte and Hewitt New Bridge Street – happy with both.
