A FTSE250 Company Secretary writes...
In light of the COVID-19 situation, other than putting a notification on the company’s website, are companies putting any mechanisms in place to deal with documents which may be served by post or courier on a registered office which is closed? I’m referring to documents which may be served and require an immediate response such as insurance claims or other legal documents.

We have security in place on reception that will receive post and we have set up a rota (for Cosec, Legal, H&S and Insurance) to collect post from the office on a weekly basis, scanning documents to the relevant individuals. It would appear that insurance claims are one thing that aren’t reducing at the moment!
