A EX LISTED Deputy Company Secretary writes...
We are unlisted/not for profit but behave as if we are listed and apply the UK Corporate Governance Code. We have Members (circa 70) not shareholders, which we manage in-house (no registrars) and I am looking to issue a communications to our Members to establish a more formal process around recording their mailing preferences, in relation to receiving the Notice of AGM and Annual Report and Accounts from us. In all other respects we communicate with our Members via email but want to follow the CA procedure and best practice. We would repeat this exercise only for new Members and then on a twice/three yearly basis thereafter. Would anyone be prepared to share their most recent shareholder circular narrative on this?
