Does anyone publish anywhere on their web-site, who within the Company should be contacted with TR-1 notifications?  Or has anyone ever come across such examples on any web-site?

We use Carbon Clear and they’ve handled this for us such that we should meet the requirement more than one month early.

We are using Inenco which is a energy consultancy business who also offer the ESOS audit/reporting service. They provide our business with other energy related services and although a relatively new supplier are showing encouraging early signs and are a step change from our previous supplier.

It is definitely worth lining someone up quickly as our experience is that demand is vastly outstripping supply in terms of qualified auditors and Inenco have said this is their experience. If you only have a few sites it will be easier to achieve but if you have a large number of sites then its critical to schedule dates for audits as soon as possible.

The industry is on a learning curve as it’s a new requirement and even the ESOS auditors are still bedding down report formats etc.

One tip is to make sure that whoever you use, they also do the formal audit submissions for you as it is an administrative task they should not charge you for but which is a pain to do in house. They should also provide management commentary/an executive summary of their findings you can provide to the Board.

            Hope this helps.
