“Our brokers no longer have a department who will transact directors’ and senior employees’ share dealings and option exercises. I believe this is increasingly common with the teams released by leading brokers forming new specialised teams elsewhere. Can anyone suggest and or recommend a firm just to handle such transactions?”

I recommend Redmayne Bentley in Leeds (we are a Leeds based FTSE250). They offer a very personal service. Contact is Phil Armitage.

Try WH Ireland Limited, a small broker that provides a good reliable service. Contact Jamie.Holmes@WH-Ireland.Co.uk

Natwest Stockbrokers has a good reputation for providing this service so long as the individuals concerned are not in the US or Canada (although worth checking whether they now have a solution for this). The contact there is Phil Smith on 020 7649 9266.
Alternatively, if you require the service for US and Canadian employees, or if you want to move your share incentives onto a managed web portal, a firm to contact is Killik Employee Services. the contact is Peter Leach on 020 7337 0477.

We have found Natwest Stockbrokers to be one of the few who do this and have been very happy with the service they provide. Most of the work they do is via our corporate nominee, but they also handle employees who hold share certificates.
